Bridal Makeup Tutorial Airbrush & Traditional
When I was in the process of preparing for my wedding I
thought it fit to scout out makeup looks that I would feel the most comfortable
with, to my surprise I wasn’t really inspired and had a really difficult time
choosing a color palette to stick with, you'd think that this kind of thing wouldn’t
happen to me because I have done air shadow looks that range from both ends of
the color spectrum but nope it sure did, just like writers get writers block I definitely
got creativity block with my makeup looks. So as the clock continued to tick I
decided well let’s try out collections that were already put together so this video below
features Dinair Airbrush Makeups "Classic Bridal Collection". I hope
you enjoy my process of creating a full airbrushed look and that you are
inspired. Thank you so much for watching! And I’ll catch you all in the next
one!!
Colors in the Collection:
Glamour Fawn Brown
Shimmer Opal White
Shimmer Ruby Red
Shimmer Sage Green
Shimmer Gold
For this look I used
Colair xtreme to Conceal, Colair Radiance to Contour and for my foundation, Ruby red for my blush, Gold shimmer for my highlight, and for my shadow 4 out of the 5 shades in the classic bridal collection.
Products outside of airbrush makeup used:
Rimmel London Lasting Finish in shade Cafe au Lait
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duo in Dark brown
Loreal Infalible Makeup Setting Spray
Mally Volumizing mascara
NYX Soft matte lip cream in London

Dinair Liquid Lipstick Review & Swatches
MMMMHHHHMMMMMM.... SO recently Dinair came out with a line of Liquid lipsticks, Now previously they had a line of Lip stains that held it's own in the longevity and pigment department but fell short in the ease of application at least on a couple of the shades. Now their new liquid lipsticks show a clear improvement formula wise applying creamy and smooth yet finishing with a matte finish that lasts for hours. I picked up the shades Sandia, Vixen, ans Wine down, but the line offers a total of 6 shades which include the previously mentioned shades as well as Take a bow, Whisper, and Havana Nights. Enough with the chit chat let's get down to the specs
Pros's
Smooth application
Dries to a matte Finish
Long Lasting
Lovely scent
Highly Pigmented
Con's
Some shades are difficult to remove ( ex Vixen definitely need oil based makeup remover to get off of the lips)
Here's some Swatches of the shades on the lips
Wine Down
Vixen
Sandia
Here is my Review and Demo on the Liquid Lipsticks

The Best Highlighter in the Form of Airbrush Makeup!
I have so many great things to say about Dinair's New Line of airbrush makeup called Colair, but the newest use I have found for this awesome line lies in the Opalescent shades. Now these shades are simply awesome and have no rival in the airbrush makeup market at least not from my research today. I recently purchased the By the Fire Trio collection and fell in love with the shades! so of course I put them to use. Now when I used 24 carat for the first time I didn't realize what a delicate gold hue can be made my lightly applying it. So after applying it in my shadow I decided to use the rest for my highlight and I was just blown away by the results. The fine pigments in Colair just melt into the skin to create such a beautiful natural glow that would be perfect whether you are going for an everyday look or for a high glam night out!
Before I decided to try airbrush makeup as a highlight I was using Wet and Wild's Shimmer palette from the Fergie Collection in Rose Champagne Glow-
Using this palette was perfect for me because it was inexpensive, you got a massive amount of product, and this particular shade can be used on any skin tone with any look. Although there were perks to this product I guess I just wasn't satisfied with the idea of going outside of airbrush makeup to finish off my makeup routine so when I discovered shades of airbrush makeup that worked perfectly to match the results I got when highlighting with the Shimmer palette I was so excited! here are the results I got with Hug Me from the colair collection! and pining it up against the fergie palette from Wet & Wild:
After deciding that shades in the Colair line worked as Highlighter i went on the hunt for more shades that would fit into the various looks I like to achieve with airbrush makeup. Here are the shades I found work best for highlighting:
Hug me
24 Carat
Mixture of Appletini, Enchanted , and Lady Luck.

Airshadow summertime Sweetness
Summer is a great time to bust out the brights, also an even greater time to bust out the airbrush. Here I have an airbrushed eye look that is perfect for this summer whether your heading out to the beach or hanging out on a summer day or night his airbrushed eye look just screams summer.
To get this eye look....
Step 1: apply Peach Pink to the natural fold of your lid/ transition or depending on your eye shape your crease. Blend it all the way through starting at the top of the outer v all the way through towards the inner lid.
Step 2: apply Majesty or a similar purple hue to the outer v and blend into the outer corner of the lid. You also want to blend it into the natural fold of the lid not spraying the mid lid. Also apply this shade to the outer corner of the lower lash line by connecting it to the base of the outer v and blending down. Take it to just about the half way mark of the lower lash line.
Step 3: apply Nectar or similar shade with a hint of shimmer to the inner corner of the lid and blend past the mid lid and slightly into the majesty in the outer corner. Be careful not to cover up that majesty in the outer corner. Apply nectar to the brow bone very lightly as to get a bit of shimmer there. Also apply this shade to the inner corner of the lower lash line and blend through to the majesty on the lower lash line.
Step 4: apply airliner, you can free hand it for a natural liner or if you want that cat eye than use stencils here I used my eyeliner stencil I picked up at airbrushmakeup.com. Apply a jet black liner or a liner shade of your choice.
Step 5: apply a highlighter to the bear duct and under the arch of the brow so that when the light hits your face it brings the focus to your eyes. Here I used Wet and Wild Fergie shimmer pallet and a medium shadow brush.
Step 6: apply tour favorite mascara that mascara I used is maybeline's the rocket mascara in very black. Now it's summer so make sure to use a waterproof mascara!
And the look is complete!

Dinair Cream Concealers
Ever wondered about Dinair's cream concealers? Wondered what the shades are? Are they creamy? Are they long wearing? Do they crease? Well today is your lucky day cause I'm going to tell you all about them.
First things first let me introduce you to the shades they offer, dinair offers 8 cream concealer shades. 7 are skin tone shades and the 8th is a corrector shade:
Dinair concealers come in a tube with a twist off doe foot applicator, the weight is not listed on the container but you get a fair amount of product that does in fact last a very long time. The price of the cream concealers which are sold individually is $19.99 to the average person this would seem high but for the quality I would say it is definitely worth the extra bucks.
Now to answer some of the questions you may have...
1) Are Dinair cream concealers creamy?
1A) absolutely they are by fare to most creamy cream concealers that I've had the pleasure of getting my hands on! Even though it's creamy it definitely stays put and blends into the skin flawlessly making it perfect to use in conjunction with airbrush makeup.
2) Are Dinair cream concealers long wearing?
2a) yes, in my opinion the cream concealers have satisfactory wear time , this comming from a person with extramural oily skin. Take my word for this gals and gents this concealer is legit. The wear can be extended even more by applying an under eye setting powder ;).
3) Do they crease?
3a) well duh ! a nubbie who doesn't know about makeup application would be frustrated with this concealer and any other top brand concealer WHY because we all know it's all about the prep and finish. If you have deep lines or multiple fine lines prep and finish when using this concealer and any other concealer for that matter and you will almost always get awesome results!
4) How do you use these concealers?
4a) I like to use cream concealers only on the under eye area I find that with airbrush makeup cream concealers don't sit well under the airbrush makeup so.... Since airbrush makeup tends to collect in the fine lines under and around the eye area why not apply a cream concealer there and save myself the agony of Creasy cakey makeup am I right? Or am I right?. So under eyes use cream concealer blemishes, dk spots, etc conceal with airbrush makeup for the best and most flawless natural finish.
I hope this reading gave you some insight to dinair cream concealers check out this video from my youtube channel IHeartAirbrush for the live demo on how i use Dinair cream concealers in my everyday routine!

Airshadow Summertime Pop
This look came to me after a day of fun and sand in Santa Cruz California, walking up and down the boardwalk and relaxing on the sandy beach inspired me to start utilizing more color this summer. This look uses some of the brightest shades I have in my kit that may not get as much love as they deserve. I hope this look inspires you to play with brights and just have fun and be care free this summer!
Step 1: apply Sparkling turquoise to your transition or cease area depending on you eye shape of course. Make sure to apply it from the top of the outer v all the way through towards the inner corner. Then apply this shade to the lover lashli e starting at the outer corner and going about 2/3 the length towards the inner corner of the lower lashline.
Step 2: apply Lilac to the outer v blending it into the Sparkling turquoise but not covering it completely. Blend this shade into the natural fold of the lid on the outer corner of the lid also. Then take this shade from the base of the outer v and blend down the lower lash line just at the outer corner.
Step 3: next take Gold and apply it to the inner corner of the lid blending it through to the lilac in the outer corner. Apply Gold to the tear duct feathering it up toward the sparkling turquoise in the transition area. Then apply gold to the inner corner of the lower lash line blending it into the sparkling turquoise. Then apply a bit of gold on your brow bone for an added highlight.
Step 4: using a liner stencil apply airliner to get that cat eye look. Here I used jet black but even using liner shades like midnight blue or dark brown is sure to give this look even more pop. Don't forget to smoke out the putter corner of the lower lashline with a bit of that liner shade also.
Step 5: apply your favorite mascara, here I'm using maybeline's the rocket mascara in very black ( waterproof formula of course)
And your beach worthy look is complete! Summertime is the perfect time to utilize those bright beautiful shades be creative and let the summer season inspire you!
To get the full look: conceal under eye area with orange highlighter cream concealer, dab you perfect concealer cream concealer shade over the Orange highlighter then set with under eye setting powder, conceal blemishes using airbrush makeup with a lighter shade with the same undertone for me my foundation shade is golden Olive so I conceal with dk. Golden beige. apply dk. Peach pink to the cheekbone, layer on your foundation shade to the coverage of your linking, apply darker shade in similar tone group as a contour for example my foundation shade is golden Olive so my contour shade is dk. Almond. Mix the two for an even natural contour! Apply a highlight of your choice I just used a lighter foundation shade to the center of my forehead, on top of my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and to the center of my chin. Then apply a nude lip pencil, and use a gloss or moist and dewy over it. For this look I used traditional gloss. And the beach worthy look is complete!

Final thoughts on Temptu Silicone Based Airbrush Makeup
So I have been using Temptu silicone based airbrush makeup since February and I feel like I have finally concluded how I feel about the product. Before I discuss the makeup I wanted to give a quick recap of the system I purchased.
In February of this year I Purchased this Kit from the Temptu Pro Website
I ordered the Temptu Pro 2.0 Kit with Beauty add on, This kit came with the 2.0 Compressor, SE-50 Single action airbrush gun , 12 Foundation shades in the 1/4 oz size, and Temptu Silicone Based Cleaner in the 1 oz size. In addition to the Kit I purchased the Invisible Difference Setting Powder in medium and the Temptu Silicone Based Primer in 1 oz size.
I have made a few Videos showing my use of Temptu Silicone Based airbrush Makeup if you watched them you will see that I had a hard time with the application at first but I did film an update showing that I did get the hang of applying it. SO... here is my Conclusion
Pro's:
-Very Water Resistant- (If you have oily skin water resistance gets weaker the more your skins natural oils interfere with the makeup thought the day, but that is common even with water based airbrush makeup)
-Looks Natural
-Lightweight Feel (Slightly heavier than water based but that is to be expected because Silicone based is thicker than water based)
-Moveable- the makeup can be moved because it doesn't dry instantly like water based airbrush makeup. This makes it easy to blend out and correct mistakes (Very Forgiving)
-Has a Natural Finish- on the dewy side ( this can be tough for people who have oily skin but I have found that applying primer and the invisible difference powder before and after the airbrush makeup I got a more matte finish)
-Can be applied easily with a Brush also- Makes it ideal for touch ups on the go with the right travel containers and brushes.
Con's:
-Difficult to clean ( in the airbrush gun)
-Must be applied at a higher pressure (makes it difficult to apply to areas like the eyes)
-Didn't last that long on my skin- rubbed off on clothing( Im sure it was due to the fact that I have very oily skin which makes it difficult for the makeup to get a hold on my skin especially throughout the day) can be corrected my adding steps to my routine.
-Takes time to set before other makeup can be applied ( not much time but some)
Overall would I recomend Temptu Silicone Based airbrush Makeup:
ABSOLUTELY! , as you can see the pro's definitely outweigh the cons, Temptu silicone based airbrush makeup is a great quality product that I have grown quite fond of these past few months. I may not use it every day but it has become a part of my kit and my special occasion makeup routine ;) Please before you have any judgements about Temptu Silicone Based airbrush makeup I urge you to try it yourself and make the judgement based on your skin and your preference :) I personally think it is an amazing product! I have to admit at first I didn't like it because I thought it was too much of a hassle but after trying it more and more I have to say to much of my own surprise I really have grown to love the product.
Here are the Videos of my Journey with Temptu Silicone Based airbrush Makeup I hope to post more tutorials and how to's to help the new user get started with Silicone based airbrush makeup :)

JX airbrush Gun vs the New CX airbrush gun from Dinair Airbrush Makeup
Recently Dinair released a New and Improved airbrush gun Called the CX. This gun is advertized to provide a smoother application without constant cleaning or clogging. Now just to be clear just because the gun wont clog DOES NOT mean you should skimp out on cleaning it. Tools require maintenance and if you want you gun to run smoothly for a long time than you really need to take care of it and maintain it.
One of the first things i noticed about the two airbrush guns is that the adapter that is on the underside of the airbrush gun that connects the gun to the hose was different. it did not however seem to contribute to the difference in function between the two airbrush guns.
The front ends of both airbrush guns did show to be different as you can see in the images above. I do believe that the different front caps of the CX airbrush gun does give the gun better performance compared to the JX airbrush gun.
As you can see in the image above the CX airbrush gun has a elongated funnel like housing for the needle i found that this allows for a much smoother application with minimal clogging.
As opposed to the image above which is of the JX which those who have had experience with this gun know that because the front end set up there was quite a but of clogging which resulted in a rigorous clean up too often during a single makeup application.
The image above is the lever on the JX
The image above is the lever on the CX
As you can see the jx came with a sprayed on adhesive that acted as a grip to allow more control of the lever. i fund that over time the grip began to deteriorate and turn a greenish yellow shade. now i found that the CX not having a grip allowed for people who didn't find it useful to be able to not worry about removing it but for those who did find a lever grip handy Dinair also came out with a detectible one that can be added to your order for the small price of .50 cents.

Overall I feel that the new CX airbrush gun is the greatest improvement I think Dinair could have come up with in terms of upgrading their airbrush gun. The gun performs exactly as it should smooth and precise and with little effort at that making it a great investment for the airbrush makeup artist or the airbrush makeup enthusiast.

Candy Collection
During the month of February Dinair released a Collection Titled the Candy Collection which included 3 Colair shades and 2 Glamor Shades. All the shades were limited edition meaning in this case that they can only be purchased as a collective. Now there is no saying if Dinair will keep this collection around but you can decide if it s worth getting for your personal style. I loved the colors so much after trying out the 3 ml size that i went and purchased the .25 fl oz bottles. The shades that are included in this collection are Too Hot, Hug Me, Let's Kiss, Be Mine and Cutie Pie. These Shades and most f the products i use can be found at AirbrushMakeup. com (The link is below just scroll down to my airbrush ventures)
